From rock to sand
Objective
Introduction of geology, knowledge of rocks and minerals and the alteration in rocks.Theoretical part
We will analyze rock samples with different origins to understand how rocks and minerals are formed and which are the main phenomena of erosion and disintegration up to formation of sand on the beaches.
Practical part
Observation of rocks and sands under the microscope, construction of a stratified sand column.
