Life of an amanuensis: medieval miniatures
Objective
Develop certain aspect of the medieval life, focusing on the castle and library.Theoretical part
Through a video-projection – focusing on different methods of approach, depending on the needs of the class – we will study the management of scriptorium such as work organization, organization of the tasks, transformation and manipulation of raw materials.
Practical part
Realization of a miniated painting, reconstructing the phases and painting technique, using the different materials and tools of that period.Target
