The origin of writing: alphabets and materials comparison
Objective
Introduce the basic knowledge of the writing evolution through the manifestation of the main ancient Mediterranean civilization encouraging them the analytical and learning capacity.Theoretical part
The itinerary includes a video-projection regarding the origin of writing in the Sumerian Age up to the Egyptian techniques.
The video-projection will be supported by material, observed during the guided visit, present in the museum in the Etruscan (e.g. ‘Lecu’ amphora) and Roman rooms (e.g. coins of ‘Fornacette closet’).
Practical part
Through the illustrative materials, the students will write the alphabets showed on tablets.Target
